Good to know

  • You get your marriage license yourselves from the NYC City Clerk (in person or online). The $35 fee is paid to the city. You must wait 24 hours before the ceremony, and the license is valid for 60 days. Our guide to getting married in NYC walks through every step.
  • You'll need one witness at the ceremony.
  • Officiant service covers all five NYC boroughs. Elsewhere in New York State and in New Jersey, we quote on request.
